About the MTC

The Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) is a national assessment in England. Children answer 25 multiplication questions to show they know their times tables from 2 to 12.

How the check works

• Answer 25 multiplication questions.
• You have 6 seconds for each question.
• There is a 3-second pause between questions.
• Children receive a score out of 25.

How MTC Ready helps

MTC Ready lets any child practise the check for free, with the same timing as the real thing. Schools and teachers can also create accounts to save every score and watch progress over time.
